Job Title: Medical Receptionist
Accountable to: Reception Manager and Practice Manager
Hours: Part time
We are looking for friendly and enthusiastic new faces to expand our Reception team at Banbury Road Medical Centre. This role offers an interesting and varied day covering all non-clinical areas within the Practice, assisting patients with their health queries and liaising with clinicians. Previous experience within a GP practice would be an advantage but is by no means essential as full training will be given.
Our operating hours are Monday to Friday, from 08:00-18:30, with working hours split fairly among team members to cover. (Very occasional Saturday mornings are expected - paid at time and a half)
Main duties include but are not limited to:
1. Registering new patients and having knowledge of the area covered by the practice (Practice boundary)
2. Managing prescription requests
3. Dealing with Emails and E-Consultations
4. Answering patient queries
5. Scanning documents and filing them electronically
6. Preparing the surgery for opening and closing
7. Undertaking training as appropriate
8. Undertaking other administrative duties allocated by the Practice Manager or Team Leaders as required
About Us
We are a GP practice with approximately 10,600 patients, a clinical team that includes 6 GPs, 2 practice nurses, midwife, physiotherapist, phlebotomist, and pharmacist, supported by the Patient Services Team and Medical Secretary. Located in the Summertown area of Oxford with a short walk from excellent bus routes. We are focused on the well-being of our staff and offer excellent mentorship for the right candidate.

Experience:
* Medical Receptionist: 1 year (preferred)
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: Starting at £12.50 with pay reviews for all staff on an annual basis.
