We are currently looking for a Business Development Manager to join a construction company based in Gateshead.
This is a full-time role with a salary of £50,000 - £60,000 DOE, plus a company car or car allowance and performance-based bonuses.
Within this Business Development Manager role, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth. You will play a key role in expanding market presence and ensuring long-term success in a competitive industry.

Responsibilities
* Identify and develop new business opportunities within the construction sector
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry professionals
* Develop strategic plans to achieve sales targets and business objectives
* Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities
* Lead negotiations, proposals, and contract discussions with potential clients
* Collaborate with internal teams, including project managers and estimators, to ensure client needs are met
* Represent the company at industry events, networking opportunities, and trade shows
* Provide regular reports on business development activities and progress
Requirements
* Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management within the construction sector
* Strong industry knowledge and a well-established network of contacts
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
* Ability to identify and capitalise on new business opportunities
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working independently
