The post holder will be responsible for working within multi-disciplined Engineering teams to deliver innovative design solutions for new concepts & customisation of existing products for our customers across the globe, ensuring delivery to cost, time, quality & adherence to strict aerospace regulations and suitability for manufacturing.
Responsibilities
1. Produce 3D models of parts & assemblies.
2. Produce 2D detail drawings of parts and 2D assembly drawing.
3. Produce electrical harness routing and equipment layouts.
4. Produce 2D and 3D PDFs of electrical harness and equipment layouts.
5. Assembly and BOM configuration.
6. Release of engineering drawings following company release procedures.
7. Change management of engineering drawings following company release procedures.
8. Support prototype hardware build through NPI development.
9. Contribute to design solutions.
10. Work collaboratively as part of an integrated project team.
11. Deliver work packages to the project plan.
12. Work within the company procedures as laid out in the Design Office Handbook.

Requirements
Essential
1. 3rd level qualification in relevant Engineering or related discipline.
2. Strong 3D CAD modelling skills.
3. Previous experience in a Design and/or Engineering related role.
4. Strong communication and organisational skills.
5. Strong IT skills including MS office tools.
Desirable
1. Experience of sheet metal, machined or plastic vacuum formed part design & manufacturing processes.
2. Experience of electrical equipment integration and layout modelling.
3. Catia V5 / V6 design software.
4. PLM software – enovia / smarteam.
