Could you use your experience of managing complex administrative workloads to ensure that the Children’s Workforce can access appropriate training to support them in their roles working with children and families in East Sussex? If so, you could be our new Training Events Organiser within the Workforce Development Team to cover a maternity leave, for to up one year.
This role manages all aspects of the events we organise for a wide range of professionals, including our front-line staff and the external workforce. This includes schools, early years settings and the voluntary and community sector.
The role liaises with tutors and venues as necessary, creates and sends publicity. It also manages the course bookings, provides advice and guidance on the training available and the use of the Learning Management System. The role also analyses evaluation returns, so that these can inform future planning.
We are looking for candidates who
1. Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to communicate with a wide variety of people.
2. Have the ability to remain calm in a busy working environment.
3. Are able to multi-task and prioritise work according to the requests being received.
4. Are able to provide high standards of customer service to our internal and external workforce.
5. Have strong IT skills, particularly in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Teams and MS Outlook and experience of data entry.
6. Be a team player that can work collaboratively as well as using their own initiative with practical problem-solving skills and have an excellent eye for detail.
