Mechanical Project Engineer - We are seeking a talented and experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to join our client's team and contribute to the successful delivery of commercial fit-out projects in London. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the mechanical aspects of projects, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and manage detailed project schedules and resource plans.
2. Monitor project progress and identify potential risks and issues.
3. Implement effective risk mitigation strategies.
4. Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
5. Review and approve mechanical design drawings and specifications.
6. Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration.
7. Provide technical support to the construction team.
8. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and quality.
9. Resolve technical issues and coordinate with subcontractors.
10. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality control procedures.
11. Monitor project costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
12. Prepare and submit accurate project reports and forecasts.
13. Communicate effectively and proactively with clients to address their needs and concerns.
14. Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2. Proven experience in managing commercial fit-out projects, including Cat A and Cat B fit-outs.
3. Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
4. Excellent project management and organizational skills.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
7. Chartered Engineer status (preferred).
