A Neighbourhood Housing Officer role in Tenancy Services with Swindon Borough Council could be a good fit for you!
Your next role
On a day-to-day basis, you will undertake all Estate and Tenancy Management functions (approximately 850 properties) and take responsibility for ensuring that maximum rental income is collected; striking a balance between prevention, early intervention and recovery action of debts owed.
You will also be responsible for dealing with low level nuisance and anti-social behaviour; signing up new tenancies; and tenancy management; providing welfare advice; and work closely with external agencies as well as our tenants.
This is a demanding role in challenging times for our customers, therefore resilience, flexibility and the ability to work under a degree of pressure is key. At times, you will be required to work evenings and/or Saturday mornings.
You must have the ability to travel throughout the Borough.
This role is subject to a DBS disclosure.
You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act – for the effective performance of a customer-facing role).
