Freelance Sub Agent Opportunity - Shetland
Are you a freelance Sub Agent looking for your next contract role?
Our client, a leading civil engineering contractor, is seeking a dedicated Sub Agent to join their dynamic team in Shetland for a six-month contract, delivering a major civil engineering project.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide engineering expertise.
2. Interpret drawings and specifications.
3. Supervise and mentor on-site teams.
4. Ensure all personnel are trained and competent.
5. Maintain accurate records of work.
6. Promote cost-saving and efficient resource use.
7. Prepare reports and contribute to project commercial aspects.
8. Uphold high standards for Safety, Environment, and Quality.
What You Can Expect:
1. Contract Duration: Six months.
2. Start Date: Immediate.
3. Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 10-12-hour shifts between 7 am - 7 pm.
4. Weekend Work: Potential for Saturday and Sunday shifts on a rotational basis.
5. Rates: Competitive, based on experience.
6. Expenses: Travel and accommodation costs covered.
What You'll Need:
1. Qualifications: Degree, HND, or HNC in Engineering (or equivalent).
2. Certifications: SMSTS, Temporary Works Coordinator, and First Aid are essential.
3. Experience: Proven experience as a Sub Agent in the civil engineering sector.
4. Background: Previous work with a main contractor in civil engineering.
5. Desirable Skills: Marine and piling experience.
6. Competencies: Strong communication and leadership skills.
7. Licence: Full UK driving licence.
