Our client, New Path Fire & Security Ltd, is a growing group of independent fire and security related businesses. Their ethos is to acquire smaller, well-established companies that complement one another, and then support them to grow within a family of like-minded organisations. With current revenue at £15m, forecasting £18m by the end of the 2025 financial year - the strategic business plan involves an acquisition phase this year, plus an integration phase where the businesses are more deeply combined next.
They are now seeking an analytical and reliable Group Management Accountant to join their team based in Eastleigh, Hampshire. You will be looking after some of the newly acquired businesses by performing day to day financial task as well as supporting Group Head of Finance with variety of ad hoc tasks while the group expands.
Group Management Accountant, the role:
Supporting Group Finance Director with implementation of Xero apps
Ensuring all businesses finance related tasks (inc. month end lead schedules) are completed accurately and on time
Sustaining the role of a Business Partner to the Group MDs and general managers
Managing Fathom monthly management information reports to MDs
Assisting Group Finance Director with monthly consolidated accounts
Updating HSBC cashflow forecasting and three statement excel models (monthly)
Looking after Xero transactions including bank reconciliations and accounts payable
Reconciling and submitting quarterly MTD for VAT returns
Assisting with the year-end accounts, audit and tax processes and annual budget
Maintaining relationship with the group payroll provider
Analysing and consolidating group data to allow visibility across the group
Standing in for the wider finance team acting as cover for absences and to review the management accounts for one other member of finance team
Group Management Accountant, the perfect applicant:
AAT qualified or Part Qualified CIMA, ACCA, ACA or Equivalent
Previous experience of working with multiple entities is desirable but not essential
Prior use of Xero is desirable but not essential
Possess advanced Excel skills and proficiency in other Microsoft applications
Exceptional technical accounting skills and capable to operate at strategic levels
Able to work independently, under own initiative and meet all required deadlines
A confident team player, with ability to form successful relationships
Strong communication influencing and time management skills
Adaptable and responsive to changing needs and priorities
Extremely high attention to detail
