We are looking for a Communications and Engagement Assistant to join our friendly team. This role is ideal for a recent graduate keen to gain valuable experience in the NHS. We are also keen to hear from individuals who have experience of working at a similar level and who want to make a difference in people's lives through impactful communication and engagement. You will play a key role in supporting a variety of communication and engagement activities that connect our people, places, and priorities.
Main duties of the job
As a Communications and Engagement Assistant, you will:
7. Assist in crafting compelling copy for our website, intranet, and publications.
8. Support the monitoring of digital media and updating of intranet and web content.
9. Help manage our social media channels, ensuring that our messages reach the right audiences effectively and on time.
10. Play a key role in organising and running events, from video shoots to stakeholder meetings.
11. Support the team in keeping our partners and key stakeholders informed and engaged.
12. Maintain and update stakeholder contacts' databases.
13. Assist with communication plans and distributing important information.
14. Work alongside team members to produce and monitor social media content, keeping our channels vibrant and engaging.
15. Keep track of the latest digital trends to ensure we stay ahead of the curve.
16. Bring fresh ideas and a creative approach to your work.

21. Three A Levels at CCC or above, or equivalent BTECs.
22. Five GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above including Mathematics and English.
23. Educated to degree level or equivalent level qualification.
Experience & Knowledge

24. Knowledge of digital accessibility and 'user experience' with experience putting this into practice.
25. Knowledge of social media trends and analytics tools.

27. Good IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft programmes including virtual meetings, outlook, excel, PowerPoint and word.

30. Experience and confidence producing digital content for use on social media.
