Customer Services Agent - Repairs – Closing date 16.03.2025
Salary from £25,413 to £27,693 pa depending on skills and experience
Permanent - Full time – 37 hours per week
Ashford Borough Council provides customer services throughout the borough via telephone, email, web and self-service options and we are looking for an advisor to work within our Housing Repairs Team.
If you are talented, enthusiastic and flexible we would like to hear from you; You will be working as part of a cross functional team providing back-office functions, customer service and administrative support for our Housing Repairs Team. Primarily you will be dealing with repairs processing and scheduling. In addition, you will be responsible for online and email requests, officer enquiries.
Liaising with Housing Repairs Contractors you will be:
* Prioritising and scheduling housing repairs.
* Following up on progress to ensure timely and satisfactory job outcomes for customers.
* Raising invoices.
* Keeping accurate records and updating of customer contact details and information.
* Supporting the team in taking incoming telephone calls and repair service requests.
This is a busy role so you will need to have excellent organisational skills and be able to manage your time effectively in order to work on more than one project at a time.
You will need to be able to communicate effectively with our external customers to ensure that their expectations are being met about their housing repair, so it is essential that you have experience of demonstrating excellent written and verbal communication skills and have previous experience in an administrative role. You will be a self-motivator who can meet tight deadlines and can work as a team at all levels.
