What it's like to work here As the Experience & Visitor Programming Manager, you will be based at Avebury, overseeing the key areas of Visitor Experience and Visitor Welcome. You will be an integral part of the wider Wiltshire Landscape portfolio which is responsible for managing twelve stunning sites across Wiltshire. Avebury is a truly exceptional place, rich in history and cultural significance. As part of the World Heritage Site, it spans 6,000 years of heritage. At its heart, is Europe's largest megalithic stone circle which attracts people from all over the world. The site also features an on-site museum that showcases archaeological finds and delves into Avebury's rich history. For more information about our property please visit avebury What you'll be doing As the Experience & Visitor Programming Manager, you will take the lead in developing and implementing our Programming and Interpretation plans, while also overseeing management of the Visitor Welcome team. Your responsibilities will include: Leading the development and delivery of audience-focused visitor programs in collaboration with both internal teams and external partners, ensuring engaging and memorable experiences for all. Shaping the strategic direction of visitor interpretation, ensuring activities align with audience interests and support a high quality visitor journey. Overseeing the Visitor Welcome team, ensuring exceptional visitor service and maintaining the highest standards in site presentation. Managing budgets and driving income to enhance operational success, while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Overseeing on-property fundraising, including management of a thriving second-hand bookshop. You will lead the volunteer team supporting this initiative.
