We are seeking a Capital Finance Analyst to join our friendly programme finance team to provide a full range of capital accounting services to the Trusts overall capital plan or specific capital schemes. Primarily focused on the reporting of capital schemes but the post holder will provide supervision the junior member of staff within the Team as required by the Deputy Finance Business Partner or Chief Capital Accountant. Main duties of the job Main Tasks and Responsibilities: To ensure financial information is processed in accordance with established procedure, in order to provide monthly report, through completion of own work and through liaison with other colleague within the team The post holder will be required to communicate with colleagues, managers and staff across the Trust and externally with other organisations. To investigate complex capital financial inquiries, providing assistance and advice as required Responsible for producing relevant, timely and accurate reports to project managers, including identifying trend, the reasons for variances from forecast, and options to improve the position. Responsible for monitoring and reporting overall finance position of dedicated capital schemes. Looking at both in year and overall project financial position. Assisting with the assessment of the full financial implication of proposals, appropriateness of capital funding and their affordability, within the overall resources identified. To supervise the day-to-day activities of the Assistant Management Accountant as required by the Deputy Finance Business Partner and Chief Capital Accountant and to deputise as and when appropriate.
