About the role
We are seeking a Policy Wording Specialist to join our Head Office function. This is an exciting opportunity to work in an environment that will broaden your skillset, and which will enable you to make a difference by helping to shape our underwriting approach.
Working within the Head Office Underwriting Team, you’ll be part of the team which proactively maintains and continuously improves the policy literature suite across our General Insurance products. Using your underwriting expertise and judgement, you’ll ensure policy literature is effective and consistent in portraying underwriting risk appetite and giving cover to members as intended.
You’ll act as a final point of referral in relation to policy literature for all classes of business whilst continuously reviewing, approving, and ensuring consistency with policy wordings and associated documents and communications. You’ll review policy literature in the wider market to ensure that future risks and opportunities are identified and acted upon appropriately whilst continually improving organisation-wide expertise in policy literature.

About you
You’ll be a General Insurance professional who has previous experience of working with policy documentation, whether this is personal or commercial lines.
This role will include lots of interaction across different areas of the business, so it is important that you are able to demonstrate:
* Strong stakeholder management, collaboration and communication skills
* Confidence and ability to influence and challenge when necessary
* Resilience and Critical Thinking skills
* A diligent eye for detail whilst remaining proactive and flexible
* General insurance experience in personal or commercial lines (comprising pricing, underwriting or product function).
You’ll also hold at least one of the following: degree, ACII, Accountancy qualification (ASA/ACCA), MBA or FIA or equivalent.
