Site Manager
Long term opportunity for a Site Manager on a new industrial project worth £28m.
The project is phased out; the first phase is a Big Yellow Storage centre which is at groundworks stage right now. In November, the second phase is 9 industrial units. Both projects are being built on the same plot, which means the site will be logistically challenging.
We require a Site Manager to be predominantly based on site and pushing delivery. You will need to have experience starting projects for ground works and handing them over. Steel frame experience is necessary.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Understanding the scope of their package.
2. Attending and contributing in contractor pre-start meetings.
3. Attending and contributing in design team meetings.
4. Chairing weekly sub-contractor progress meetings, taking and issuing meeting minutes.
5. Attending safe starts.
6. Approving RAMS.
7. Attending DABS and contributing to the meeting, discussing coordination with other trades. If necessary, taking the meeting and issuing the DABS report to all other team members.
8. Enforcing H&S on site.
9. Identifying potential problems and offering buildability solutions.
10. Being tech-savvy.
11. Engaging with the supply chain and other team members.
The contractor is a well-respected main contractor who works across the UK and is busy in the South for 2025. If you do a strong job, then a permanent contract will be available.
We are paying between £(Apply online only) a day for the right candidate.
