The MSI E&S Homeowners team focuses on producing profitable surplus lines homeowners business, specifically in the Affluent and High Net Worth segments. The MSI E&S Homeowners Underwriting Assistant will be responsible for providing efficient operational support for the E&S Homeowners Underwriting team.
* Fully assist Underwriters in all aspects of their primary responsibility
* Interact with partner brokers and provide superior customer service
* Review and execute policy issuance and servicing requests
* Review submissions for completeness, accuracy and make requests for additional information.
* Ensure underwriting files have adequate documentation
* Responsible for property inspection reviews and audits for high valued residential properties
* Attend team meetings and perform other duties as assigned
Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities Requirements:
* Previous homeowners insurance experience preferred with an insurance carrier, MGA, program administrator, or agency
* Ability to demonstrate a sense of urgency to resolve problems and meet broker, client and market expectations of service
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Experience working with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and ability to master proprietary software
* Ability to work autonomously when not directly supervised day to day
