The role of the Administration Assistant within the Community Treatment Team in North Tyneside is a very busy, challenging and rewarding one consisting of reception duties, taking calls, assisting clinical colleagues, typing appointment letters, clinic letters, scanning for the wider team, working from a shared inbox, updating RIO, working as part of an administration team taking direction on workload from the Admin Team Lead. The ability to travel within the local area is a must, as at times you will be required to cover each of our North Tyneside team bases, which will include the Oxford Centre in Longbenton and our bases in Whitley Bay, North Shields and Forest Hall. The post holder will be able to demonstrate the ability to deal with possible exposure to highly distressing or highly emotional circumstances and will be expected to ensure they participate on all relevant training courses appropriate to the role. Skills The Post holder will preferably have experience of working in Mental Health and Learning Disability services or a similar work environment but not essential and have the following core skills which are essential to the post: Experience in a customer / patient and service user focused environment Excellent communication and interpersonal Skills A good understanding of the RIO system (not essential as training given to those who have not worked on this system before) A good knowledge of Microsoft word/office packages Typing skills/qualification Good verbal and written communication skills Ability to be self-directed, motivated and be able to contribute positively within a team Well organised and structured Note taking skills will be required and training can be given The post holder will be expected to demonstrate flexibility in the role We aim to attract and retain a diverse, talented and committed workforce, who are caring and compassionate, and therefore able to meet the demands of the modern NHS now and in the future.
