Job Summary
This pivotal role involves the development of cutting-edge satellite communication systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in digital telecom systems and a deep understanding of telecommunications for space applications, focusing on RF and signal processing. As a SATCOM System Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced space telecom technologies, transforming space communication.
Key Responsibilities
* System Engineering: Lead the engineering process for satellite communication systems, including requirements definition, architecture design, and system validation.
* Telecom Development: Develop and optimize digital telecom embedded systems for satellite applications.
* Performance Analysis: Conduct system-level analyses, simulations, and trade studies to ensure optimal performance.
* Collaboration: Work with multidisciplinary teams to integrate storage, processing, and connectivity capabilities into satellite systems.
* RF and Signal Processing: Develop payload RF frontend and create signal processing algorithms for space applications.
* Testing and Validation: Ensure comprehensive testing and verification of systems to meet regulatory and industry standards.
* System Monitoring: Monitor system performance and troubleshoot deployed systems to ensure mission success.
* Documentation: Maintain detailed records of design processes, test results, and system performance.
Required Qualifications
* Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
* Experience: Proven experience in designing and implementing satellite communication systems.
* Knowledge: Strong understanding of digital communication principles and satellite communication protocols.
