As a Management Accountant, you will be a key member of the Finance team, responsible for overseeing a small team. You will work very closely with the Finance Manager and Financial Controller to ensure timely Management Accounts are produced as well as ensuring that the balance sheet reconciliations and other reports are prepared to assist Financial Planning & Control and the opportunity to play an instrumental role in shaping the finance team throughout a period of significant growth. Overseeing a small team to ensure all tasks are completed accurately and in line with deadlines Overseeing the management accounts for the relevant division of the business Assisting in preparation of accurate monthly Management Accounts Responsible for Balance Sheet and Control Account reconciliations and review Continuous improvement and development of the team, supporting with ongoing study and mentoring Developing internal controls and processes and ensuring all are adhered to consistently both within the Finance team and other teams in the business Assisting with Financial Year End and Annual Audit Accruals and prepayments and P&L analysis Assisting the Finance Manager with providing financial information to the business and completing ad-hoc financial and business projects Who are we looking for? Part Qualified (or soon to be qualified) ACCA, CIMA, or ACA with demonstrable experience in a similar role Experience of managing a team and developing colleagues Commercially focussed with strong personal drive, high attention to detail and deadline driven Ability to communicate confidently with people at all levels A proven problem solver - proactive in identifying issues within area of responsibility, recommending solutions and in implementing agreed recommendations Experience in driving process change and ensuring a good control environment within the finance team Advanced Excel ability and familiarity with MS office suite What happens next?
