2-3 months contract with a Local Authority Job Summary: • The role exists to ensure that every resident living in an Enfield Council Home irrespective of tenure, when facing the most significant challenges of life have access to a single point of contact to guide, support coach and empower them to identify their inner strength and identify new pathways of progression and resolution of the issues impacting on their lives. • We are looking for an Anti -social behavior officer who will work within the resident relationship ASB team and will accept referrals of multi-faceted complex and often high-risk cases, ensuring that clear outcomes-based plans and risk management action plans are in place and maximising access to a range of other services and interventions to support residents that access the service at point of crisis including: Mental health, Domestic abuse, Harassment / hate crime, Loss and bereavement, Substantial debt and financial hardship. Key Duties/Accountabilities (Sample): • Act as the first point of contact for residents experiencing Anti-Social Behavior (ASB), providing guidance, support, and coaching to empower them through challenges. • Accept referrals of complex, multi-faceted, and high-risk cases, developing tailored, outcomes-based support plans with clear risk management action plans. • Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure a coordinated response to ASB cases, including access to mental health services, domestic abuse support, financial assistance, and other relevant services. • Work with residents to resolve issues impacting their lives, providing regular reviews of support plans and adapting them as necessary. • Support the prevention and management of ASB, including enforcement actions where necessary, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation. • Educate residents on their rights and responsibilities under relevant ASB legislation (e.g., Crime and Disorder Act 1998, ASB Act 2003, Violent Crime Reduction Act 2006). • Maintain accurate records of cases and interventions using housing management IT systems to ensure a clear audit trail and reporting of progress. • Provide expert advice and practical support for victims of ASB, ensuring that their safety and wellbeing are prioritized. • Monitor and evaluate the impact of interventions, adjusting strategies to maximize outcomes for residents. • Liaise with law enforcement, community organisations, and other service providers to offer comprehensive support to residents facing ASB-related challenges. Skills/Experience: • Experience in housing management or ASB casework, including working with vulnerable individuals facing complex, high-risk situations. • Practical experience of using housing management IT systems (e.g., HCC systems) to document and track case progress. • In-depth knowledge of relevant ASB legislation, including the Crime and Disorder Act 1998, ASB Act 2003, and Violent Crime Reduction Act 2006. • Proven ability to develop, monitor, and review support plans tailored to individual housing support needs. • Experience of working with external agencies and services to address issues such as mental health, domestic abuse, financial hardship, and other social issues. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with residents in crisis and support them through difficult situations. • Ability to manage and prioritize caseloads, ensuring timely and effective intervention. • Knowledge of risk management strategies, safeguarding protocols, and strategies for managing high-risk cases. Additional Information: • The role may require some evening or weekend work depending on case requirements. • A full driving license may be required, depending on the nature of the role and location of the cases being managed.
