As a Senior/Staff Research and Innovation Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing Proof of Concepts (PoCs) of candidate technologies for 6G advanced wireless and beyond.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Rapid prototyping of new concepts on x86 CPU and NVIDIA GPU based servers using USRPs and in-house RF boards for collaboration and evaluation with customers. This could also include development of GUIs for the PoCs.
* Work with external partners to understand state-of-the-art technologies of 5G-advanced and 6G.
* Work with Engineering to transition PoCs to mainstream products.
Pre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements:
* Master’s degree or higher in Communication/Telecommunication or Wireless Communication Engineering.
* Strong wireless communications background is essential.
* Solid real-time signal processing development experience in multi-threaded systems.
* A good understanding of the x86 computer architecture.
* Good knowledge of C/C++, NVIDIA GPUs and CUDA C++ is highly desirable.
* Good knowledge of Python and the Sionna Digital Communications Library is desirable.
* Good knowledge of using containers (Docker, Podman) is desirable.
* MATLAB knowledge and experience is desirable.
* Proven analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to work with very little input.
* Proficient collaboration and team working skills, with the ability to develop and maintain strong productive relationships.
* Proven communication skills, both verbal and written.
* The ability to work within multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines, both independently and as part of a team.
