Overview
Our client provides an extensive range of specialised IT solutions and systems for the private healthcare market including practice management systems, online billing, secure messaging and clinical coding tools. They are now seeking a Business Development Manager to join their fast growing team. The purpose of the role is to generate revenue and build market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships. Selling products to help clients improve administrative efficiency and provide account management to key client accounts.
Salary: £30k with £8k OTE
The Role
1. Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business with a focus on individual specialist solutions
2. Maintain a long-term relationship with accounts and maximise sales opportunities with them
3. Work with team to develop proposals that speaks to the client’s needs, concerns and objectives
4. Work with appropriate functions and internal colleagues to support development of existing and new products to meet customer needs
5. Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships
6. Participate in pricing the solution/ service
7. Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion
8. Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences and provide feedback and information on market and current trends
9. Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company’s sales management system/ CRM
The Person
Qualifications
10. Previous experience in account management
11. Understanding of medical/ clinical terminology advantageous
12. Experience in the Private Healthcare industry advantageous but not essential
13. Awareness and understanding CRM or a sales management system
