If you can help us deliver a pivotal and important service - read on What we’re looking for Responsible for managing the payroll process for the company with our outsourced payroll provider, you will ensure accurate and timely employee payments based on company policies while adhering to UK employment legislation. This will involve calculating salary & holiday entitlement etc for certain non standard working patterns (which fall outside the payroll provider automation), deductions, leavers calculations and handling payroll queries. You will support the People Co-ordinators to respond to complex employee queries relating to payroll and benefits. You will also lead the year-end reporting and compliance activities with the payroll provider such as P11D & P60 (will move to monthly from 2026 as legislation changes). Secondly the role will support the Reward and Technology Manager, playing a pivotal role in reward analysis, reward framework development and maintenance and Executive remuneration. Providing input, analysis and advice on aspects of rewards, including salary benchmarking, role sizing/job evaluation and job families, benefit packages, and recognition programs. You will stay updated on legislative changes to ensure compliance with all relevant payroll, data protection, employment laws and regulations regarding payroll, data compensation and benefits. Your responsibilities will include This role works closely with the People Co-ordinators to lead payroll and reward related activity. Work with our outsourced payroll provider to collate information and assist with the preparation of P11D, P60s, and other necessary year-end tax filings Check calculations for any non standard set-ups or deductions e.g. due to non standard shift patterns Calculate any non standard paid leave, including sick leave, maternity leave, and holiday pay. Be able to create formulas/look ups for any calculations the system/provider is not set up to do Analyse data: Use research, surveys, and market data to assess the company's competitive reward position Designing job evaluation frameworks, job families and pay frameworks to determine appropriate pay levels for different roles Inputting to the design of and managing bonus/incentive plans Generate reports on compensation costs, workforce demographics, and reward program effectiveness Design, improve and implement employee recognition programs Respond to and resolve complex reward and benefits queries Assist with the year-end salary review process Stay informed about current employment laws and regulations, including statutory payments like SSP, SMP, PBIK and auto-enrolment, to ensure compliance Respond to employee enquiries regarding pay slips, deductions, average holiday pay, and other payroll-related questions Reporting and analysis relating to reward and benefits Data integrity, ensure data is managed correctly and safely Collaborate with the wider HR people team, finance, the outsourced payroll/benefits providers and other departments to ensure accurate payroll, reward & colleague data.
