The girls have a wonderful relationship, and although described as chalk and cheese, they enjoy similar activities, going to the playground, soft play, swimming, splash parks, and days out and about Robyn, 6, is an easy-going, placid, calm, and kind girl. She has a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and attends a local SEN school. Robyn is preverbal and uses ACC to support her communication. She enjoys climbing, jumping and water play, and these activities are incorporated into her daily routine. Tallulah, 4, attends a mainstream school, and loves all things Disney, princesses, dressing up, arts and craft, baking and story time; she is a determined little girl who is very sociable and outgoing. Tallulah has recently been diagnosed with ASC. The girls are happy, loving, full of energy and lots of fun; this role comes highly recommended by their current Snap Care SEN Nanny. Overview of role: Each day starts with dropping the girls off at their school, returning to the family home to complete some life admin duties such as light household duties, liaising with healthcare professionals, running errands, preparing snacks, and evening meals etc. as well as planning and preparing activities for the girls to enjoy at home. School pick-up starts at 3.00pm, both girls need some downtime after their busy day but will also enjoy fun, educational and creative games and activities, going to the local playground, park etc. The SEN Nanny will support Robyn with self-help and independence skills, focusing on her overall development, self-regulation, and personal care; she is nearly ready to start toilet training. Tallulah requires support in a more subtle way, such as with communication, gauging social situations and social interactions. She would like her SEN Nanny to provide support with her homework. This is a family who do not ‘sweat the small stuff’ Mum and Dad want their children to be safe, happy, have lots of fun, well cared for and loved. Robyn’s SLT holds a remote evening therapy session with Mum, Dad and her SEN Nanny typically biweekly at 8.00pm, it would be extremely beneficial to Robyn, if her new SEN Nanny will join (paid as overtime).
