What Out Client Is Looking For Our client is looking for a Complex Care Assistant to: Personal care, including assistance with hoist transfers, dressing, bathing, and toileting using a tilt in space shower commode. Support with administrating medications and PEG feeds as prescribed and monitor their effectiveness. Support with communication and mobility challenges. Maintain a safe, tidy and comfortable environment for the client. Document care provided and communicate effectively with the care team. Adhere to and advocate for client care plans and guidlines. Experience with neurological conditions such as cerebral palsy and epilepsy. Experience with respiratory, bowel, gastrostomy, postural, seizure and pain management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support others. Ability to act promptly. Need to be able to maintain focus and be proactive. For example, monitor and detect subtle changes in client presentation and respond promptly and appropriately e.g secretions building up or seizure activities starting, then treating/reporting sooner as per care plans.
