Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing contracts, particularly telecoms and datacentre contracts, and will have experience of negotiating terms and conditions.
They will also be responsible for:
* Procuring goods and services in accordance with defence sector policies and procedures;
* Managing contracts and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations;
* Developing and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers;
* Providing procurement advice and guidance to internal stakeholders;
* Managing budgets and ensuring value for money.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
* Strong experience of procurement policies and procedures;
* Experience of negotiating terms and conditions;
* Category Management Skills;
* Experience of working with SAP systems;
* Ability to work quickly and competently within tight deadlines;
* Ability to plan, prioritise and schedule work to achieve multiple, often conflicting, deadlines;
* Ability to take ownership of procurement initiatives;
* Ability to develop strong positive relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
Desired Skills
The ideal candidate will also have:
* Strong administrative skills;
* Data literate with strong analytical skills;
* Experience in IT/computing procurement/Telecoms;
* Experience in in-direct corporate procurement.
Security Clearance
The employer requires the candidate to be eligible to attain BPSS clearance due to the nature of the position.
