You will be working in the plaster room being able to work as an automomous practitioner in complaince with local policies and procedures. Workload will be allocated from clinics, A&E and theatre and the extent of this will differ daily. Therefore it is important to be able to manage your own workload, while ensuring effective and efficient utilisation of resources appropriately. This role involves working across three sites to cover the needs and demands of the service. Communication is an integrel part of this role by receive complex information from consultants and communicating with patients by providing advice pertaining to their fracture and casting management and to enable them to manage their own care needs. Interpreting and recording information accurately into patient notes to ensure the correct care is given and acted upon on in future is important as well as a knowledge of the IT systems.
