Davenham have an exciting opportunity available for a Procurement & Logistics Manager to join our team based in Fairham, Nottingham. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of GBP50,000 - GBP52,000.
About the General Operative role
Hours: 37 hours (including unpaid 30 minutes lunch break) - 8-4.30 Mon-Thu, Fri 8 -1pm.
Days: Monday Friday
As our Procurement & Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the coordination and execution of the company's operational plans and logistics operations. This role ensures seamless collaboration with other departments to align production plans with material availability and efficient logistics processes. The manager will work to optimise inventory management, ensure timely delivery of products, and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Your key duties as our Procurement & Logistics Manager will include:
* Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure production plans align with material availability and customer demand.
* Develop and implement production schedules, to optimise operational capacity and meet customer requirements.
* Oversee logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
* Manage inventory levels to balance stock availability with minimising obsolescence and excess.
* Monitor and improve logistics processes to enhance delivery performance and reduce costs.
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and company policies.
* Prepare and present reports on procurement and logistics performance to senior management.
* Drive cross-functional collaboration to address operational challenges and implement solutions.
What we are looking for in our Procurement & Logistics Manager:
* Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, logistics, business administration, transportation, engineering or equivalent.
* Experience in a similar position within a manufacturing setting.
* Strong knowledge of production planning, logistics, and inventory management principles.
* Strong team player.
* Ability to manage, coach, and provide training for direct reports.
* Exceptional organisational and analytical skills.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft packages, logistics and inventory software.
