We are recruiting Apprentices in Müller Yogurts & Desserts (MYD) for the role of Laboratory Technician Apprentice.

We focus on continuous learning to develop not only our business but our people. This Apprenticeship program is an opportunity for you to learn about every aspect of our laboratory. As an apprentice at Müller, you will receive full support, development, and training to become one of our Laboratory Technicians.
In this role, you will perform effective and high-quality analysis in our state-of-the-art laboratory on a variety of exciting brand names and customer products such as Müller Corner, Müller Rice, and Müller Light, all following given methods and procedures to produce accurate and timely analytical results.
As an apprentice Laboratory Technician at Müller Yogurt & Desserts, you will learn how to:
1. Assist with the decontamination of equipment and learn about waste management processes.
2. Stock check many of our general consumable stores and the re-ordering process.
3. Discover general lab equipment maintenance methods and coordinate engineers for repairs.
4. Assist in the preparation of reagent/buffers and record Fixed Asset Numbers on new equipment purchases.
5. Understand health and safety processes to ensure safe working within our labs.
What You Will Need:
1. GCSE Grade C and above in Maths, English & Science (or EU equivalent).
2. Flexibility to stay and travel to accommodation for project work or learning activities at other Müller sites (expenses covered).
3. Full UK Driver's License.
4. Must be over 16 years old.
5. Must not be engaged in other full-time education.
6. Must be living in the UK.
What to Expect:
1. Hours: A full-time role of 40 hours/week with some potential for shift working.
2. Pay: £18,500 salary, with an increase after successful completion of your first year on the apprenticeship programme.
