For the successful Production Planner our client is offering:
Up to £37,000 per annum DOE
Days shifts (39 hours per week)
Permanent Position
Potential for some flexibility in start/finish times
Opportunity for progression
Early finish on Fridays
The role - Production Planner:
Direct responsibility for planning, scheduling, and coordinating factory manufacturing activity across multiple departments
Schedule manufacturing orders and ensure internal schedules and customer requirements are met
Plan and execute the flow of procured material from the supplier into the factory ensuring inventory performance to targets
Negotiate purchase order supplier quotes to achieve purchasing productivity and supplier cost management
Manage inventory to ensure strategic inventory design targets are on plan
Manage assigned product to meet customer service and inventory plans
Report on key responsibilities and key process indicators
What our client is looking for in a Production Planner:
Previous experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment - ESSENTIAL
Previous experience in planning and procurement - ESSENTIAL
An excellent understanding of materials, mechanics, and production manufacturing processes
Highly literate and numerate, able to investigate problems and analyse data
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Knowledge of ERP Systems - ESSENTIAL
Key skills or similar Job titles:
