The Opportunity:
To support our client's exciting growth and development, we’re looking for a multi-skilled Electrical and Instrumentation Technician to join our technical team on-site here at Spadeadam.
Reporting to the Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Team Lead, you’ll be responsible for providing technical assistance to our project teams in the construction and development of new test rigs and planning the electrical and instrumentation installation. Your duties will include providing technical support to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Unlike some Electrical & Instrumentation opportunities, the client's roles are site-based at Spadeadam, meaning there won't be ongoing travel across the region/UK and you will also work to a standard 37.5 hour week, so your work-life balance won't be impacted by the need to work shifts or weekends.
Responsibilities:
* Provide technical support to project teams.
* Assist in the construction and development of new test rigs.
* Plan and ensure compliance with electrical and instrumentation installation standards.
Qualifications:
* Level 3 City and Guilds.
* IEE 18th edition compliant.
* Initial and Periodic Electrical Inspection and Testing (2391).
* Experience in maintenance, fault diagnosis, and rectification work.
* Experience in inspection work on equipment installed in hazardous areas.
* Knowledge of relevant health & safety regulations.
