A building and construction client of ours in the Colchester area (Elmstead Market) is recruiting an Estimator & Project Administrator to join their team. This is a full-time position working Monday - Friday 8.00am - 4.00pm and paying £32,000 - £35,000 per annum depending on experience. This role can be hybrid based (2-3 days remote and the remainder of the days in the office), although may be required to be office-based when covering holiday.
Key Duties include but are not limited to:
1. Pricing tenders
2. Site Variations
3. Collate weekly timesheets and input for fortnightly payroll and invoicing
4. Compile monthly site reports with site running figures
5. Quote chasing
6. Compile H&S packs for new sites
7. Prepare RAMS
8. Identifying new opportunities
9. Customer liaison
10. Customer seminars/briefings/meetings
11. Site pre-start meetings
12. Arrange staff training
Skills and Experience required to be considered for this Estimator & Project Administrator position:
1. Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheets (Excel).
2. Ability to read drawings and plans and develop cost estimates on labour.
3. Experience in building client relationships.
4. 5+ years previous experience working in an Estimator, Quantity Surveyor or similar role required.
5. Experience within the construction industry is essential.
