We are looking for a Head of Finance with a sense of social purpose to help improve the lives of others and make a lasting difference in the lives of children and adults throughout the County of Gloucestershire.

The role is 37.5 hours a week, based at our Central Office in Cheltenham but will be covering all our sites and locations.
This role is eligible for hybrid working.
Salary is between £45,000 to £53,823 per annum, dependent on relevant skills, experience and qualifications.
About you
* To be successful in this role, you will have a number of years' experience in finance and line management or in delivering a financial managers role - particularly in a charitable organisation or Housing Association.
* You will have excellent attention to detail, be organised and not afraid to challenge or question the status quo. You will have been involved in all aspects of finance, including budgeting, audits, controls and reporting.
* Most importantly you will have a real sense of affiliation for our organisational culture and Values, such as openness, empathy and respecting others.
* You will be working as part of our Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and will have the ability to develop effective and good working relationships people at all levels.
About the client
My client was founded in 1855, is a registered charity and has become a leading provider of supported housing for the most vulnerable in Cheltenham and Gloucester, alongside other works such as the provision of sports facilities, affordable housing and other charitable activities.
About the role
* The Head of Finance provides financial leadership and support to the Charity, advancing the overall financial goals and objectives of my client, and supporting the CEO to ensure the financial resilience of the organisation is achieved.
* By working as part of the SLT, the Head of Finance will support the Charity to maximise surpluses, improve decision-making, and ultimately driving financial transparency across the entire organisation.
* By developing and maintaining financial control systems, the Head of Finance will ensure that organisational objectives are properly resourced, while also helping ensure the accountability of budget-holders responsible for their areas of the organisation.
The Head of Finance will:
* Be part of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
* Be expected as a member of the Senior Leader Team, to support a culture of excellence, to demonstrate values-led leadership and to make a meaningful contribution to the development and delivery of organisational strategy, as well as provide leadership on the establishment of annual budgets to support the strategic objectives agreed.
* Help drive organisational excellence by ensuring financial standards, policies and procedures are all based upon best practice principles and are fit for purpose in supporting the on-going work of the organisation.
* Be expected to exercise leadership, initiative and be a self-starter - understanding and identifying where your work can make the greatest impact in achieving the Charity's aims and objectives.
* Ensure our client meets its regulatory and legal obligations as a Registered Provider of Social Housing and a Registered Charity.
* Help protect the financial resilience of the Charity by ensuring Value for Money objectives are established and maintained.
* Ensure that all the financial obligations of the Charity can be met and will support planning and forecasting to ensure this goal is achieved.
* Support the Finance & Risk Committee, supporting meetings and ensuring actions are seen through to completion.
