As a Production Co-Ordinator for the Offline process, you will responsible for the flow of machines between various offline processes. Coordinating material shortages between multiple teams. This role could include small reworks to aid other offline teams and the test of parts/products to Caterpillar's acceptance standards. You will utilise lean manufacturing tools and techniques to ensure shipping dates are met. What You Will Do: - Coordinate built machines through offline processes. - Daily plan for machines required by repair in priority order. - Liaise with other parts of the business to resolve issues as they arise (Logistics, Shipping, production and Manufacturing engineering). - Fitment/rework and test of non conformancies raised during the assembly process (20-30% of this role will be tool based) - Follow documented dynamic risk assessments to perform safe and defect free assembly of parts and components, using various hand/power tools and lifting equipment provided in the work area. - Train/coach new Assembly Technician's/Apprentices within the area. - Follow and utilise Caterpillar Production System principles of continuous improvement reporting, waste elimination and standard work. - Keep the work area clean, tidy and safe in line with 5S and total preventative maintenance (TPM). - Undertake training and further learning as required. About You: - The ability to work closely with others is imperative, requiring team participation to achieve the agreed objectives. - Self motivated, with the flexibility to deal with individual and team behaviours, you should be able to motivate others with your advice and experience. - Initiative and strong communication, interpersonal & organisation/planning skills. - Experience working within a fast-paced problem-solving environment - Demonstratable high level of assembly or mechanical aptitude and accuracy - Good communication skills both written and verbal within a Group - Experience in demonstrating Continuous Improvement ideas - Proficient understanding of Microsoft office 365 including Excel at intermediate level - Proficient in using production problem solving techniques. You May Also Have: - Previous experience in a fast-paced operations space - Previous experience in a coordinator/coordination role - Relevant NVQ level 2/equivalent or higher.
