Ashton Gate Stadium is a unique sports and entertainment business with the core aim of providing integral support services to ensure the sustainability of Stephen Lansdown’s sporting group of companies, which includes Bristol Sport, Bristol City Football Club, Bristol Bears Rugby, Bristol Flyers Basketball, and their respective community charities.
JOB PURPOSE
To provide administrative and operational support for stewarding and security functions at Ashton Gate Stadium. This includes assisting with recruitment, training records, scheduling, and risk assessments, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
KEY OBJECTIVES
* Support the recruitment and onboarding process for stewards and security staff.
* Assist with scheduling and maintaining training records.
* Carry out administrative duties to support operational effectiveness.
Recruitment Support
* Assist with placing adverts and shortlisting candidates in line with HR policies.
* Support the completion of induction processes and new starter paperwork.
* Maintain accurate records of staff, including leavers, and update the people management system.
Staffing & Administration
* Help to manage the stewarding and security schedule under the direction of the Stadium General Manager.
* Assist with maintaining payroll records to ensure accuracy.
* Respond to queries from staff via phone and email in a timely manner.
* Maintain the stewards’ office and equipment (e.g., high-vis jackets).
* Assist in coordinating external stewarding deployments, including bookings and invoicing.
* Become proficient in the DDS system and provide administrative support to managers.
* Support the completion and regular updating of risk assessments for the stadium.
* Assist in conducting routine checks to ensure compliance with health and safety protocols.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS
* Strong organizational and time-management skills.

* Proficiency in basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).

* Previous experience in an administrative or operational support role.
* Basic knowledge of health and safety standards.
* Interest in sports or events management.
TRAINING
* Full induction training provided.

* Training in relevant systems (e.g., payroll, DDS).
