Systematix is currently looking for an IT Operations Analyst to help with the implementation of a diverse IT Operations network, for one of the world’s leaders in Life Sciences technologies.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Working as an Infrastructure Operations Analyst for the Client Technologies division, you will be responsible for providing support for our Executives as well as general IT Operations including service desk, system administration, development, security, and support of all relevant IT infrastructure, systems, and applications.
ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES
* Providing user and administrative support for IT systems, applications, and infrastructure
* Providing technical guidance to users and management for IT-related issues and queries
* Performing maintenance and troubleshooting of all relevant hardware, software, and systems
* Assisting Manager/Supervisor in developing desktop support and local server systems strategy
* Implementing and supporting network operating systems and services
* Configuring, installing, and deploying all PCs and related peripherals
* Configuring, installing, deploying, and supporting desktop management suite
* Supporting local manufacturing systems
* Developing and maintaining desktop and server-related procedures and ensuring enforcement
* Developing and maintaining appropriate disaster recovery procedures
* Gaining a working knowledge of department-specific applications
* Keeping abreast of technical aspects of the PC-LAN computing environment
* Managing projects for implementations and roll-outs
* Providing equipment projections and assisting with purchasing for Manager/Supervisor
* Performing daily backup procedures as defined by technical leads
* Identifying opportunities and recommending solutions for improving service, efficiency, and effectiveness
* Performing system analysis and utilization reports as required
* Logging support activities using telephone and computer-based Service Desk system
ABOUT THE QUALIFICATIONS
* Associate’s Degree in Information Technology (or equivalent)
* Up-to-date professional IT certification
* 4+ years of experience providing second-line end-user desktop support
* 4+ years of experience with PC applications, operating systems, and hardware
* Strong knowledge of IT hardware and peripherals
* Excellent knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and Office applications
* Ability to use technical documentation and diagnostic tools to resolve hardware and software issues
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Excellent judgment, analytical skills, follow-up, and organizational skills
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to perform risk assessments
* Willingness to provide out-of-hours support and coverage for national holidays
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a 3-month rolling contract to be performed onsite at our client’s location in South East England.
