Role: Management Accountant
Location: South Yorkshire - Hybrid/Remote
Duration: 6+ months
Salary: £135 to £200 per day
Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting an interim Management Accountant to join our Public Sector client based in South Yorkshire.
Main Job Purpose:
* Calculation and input of the monthly accruals, prepayments, and adjustments
* Check, review and complete monthly budget reports for Budget holders to the prescribed timetable and materiality limits.
* Analysing budget variances and resolving complex queries.
* To be the main point of contact for budget holders on a day-to-day basis for transaction related queries.
* Analysing complex data and preparing standard monthly reports.
* To respond requests from budget holders and the Finance Business Partners for ad-hoc reports and financial information.
Key Duties and Responsibilities for the Management Accountant:
* To provide a customer focused service to managers and budget holders
* To provide support and training to managers and budget holders in understanding and accessing financial and budgetary information.
* Responsible for monitoring performance against budgets and investigating reasons for key budget variances
* To undertake analytical tasks and produce ad hoc information as required
* To assist in the analysis and reconciliation of financial data as required
* To produce routine monthly budget reports and distribute these to budget holders
* Assist with Financial Reporting
Experience and Knowledge:
* Experience of financial management
* Excellent knowledge of general ledger systems
* Well developed analytical skills
