At Cravenhill Publishing Ltd we are looking for an Assistant Accountant to work as part of a friendly team, reporting in to the Finance Manager. Our two magazines, Communicate and Transform, are industry-leading publications, and we produce a dynamic portfolio of conferences and awards events worldwide Key Responsibilities: Management of Purchase Ledger from processing supplier invoices through to reconciliation and payments. Management of Sales Ledger from raising client invoices, to processing payments, credit control and dealing with queries Bank, credit card & PayPal Management: recording of transactions, reconciliation of all accounts, dealing with queries. Reporting: month-end journals, revenue recognition, balance sheet reconciliations and assist with cash flow forecasting. Ad-Hoc Duties: quarterly VAT returns. First point of call for all accounts queries. Assisting Finance Manager with any ad hoc tasks. Ideal Candidate: AAT qualified or (equivalent qualification by experience) with prior finance experience & strong numerical and analytical skills. Skilled in multi-currency transactions, deadline management and capable of prioritisation and working well under pressure. Proficient in Excel, Word, accounting software (Sage experience desirable). Experience of using PayPal and Worldpay preferable. Strong communication skills, adaptable, proactive and capable of working independently and part of a team.
