We are currently seeking talentedTrust Doctorsto join our dynamic team at Hinchingbrooke Hospital. This is a full-time fixed term post for 4 months.
In this role, you will have the chance to contribute significantly to both the clinical and business objectives of the Division, all while working in a collaborative and supportive setting.
As a Trust Doctor, you will work closely with the Specialty Registrar and benefit from the expertise of our highly skilled Consultant team, specialising in areas such as Fetal-Maternal Medicine, Urogynaecology, Colposcopy and Oncology, Reproductive Endocrinology and Unplanned Pregnancy, and Ambulatory Gynaecology.
What we are looking for:
· Membership with the Royal College of Physicians or equivalent experience and training
· Full registration with a license to practice with the General Medical Council (GMC)
· Completion of MRCP
This role will provide comprehensive training across a variety of sub-specialties and settings, allowing you to gain valuable experience and enhance your clinical skills in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

You will be involved in a variety of clinical duties, with the opportunity to develop and refine your skills in a supportive, structured environment. Your key responsibilities will include:
• Supervised Clinical Sessions: You will participate in supervised clinical sessions covering general Obstetrics and Gynaecology, ensuring a well-rounded experience across multiple areas of the specialty.
• On-Call Responsibilities: You will assist with labour and delivery, providing emergency care and supporting the registrar on the obstetrics wards.• Obstetrics On-Call (12-hour shifts)
• Gynaecology On-Call (9:00-17:00)
• Early Pregnancy Unit and Maternity Day Assessment Unit
• Theatre Attendance: You will have the opportunity to attend the operating theatre, assisting with a range of procedures across Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
• Ward Rounds: You will conduct ward rounds under the guidance and support of midwifery and nursing staff, helping to care for inpatients and making clinical decisions alongside the wider team.
• Clinics and Day Assessment Unit: You will attend clinics and the Day Assessment Unit, gaining exposure to outpatient care, and benefiting from additional opportunities for training and development.
• Medical Education: You will be encouraged to actively participate in medical education, both for yourself and others. The Trust has strong links with Leicester and Cambridge, and you will have the opportunity to contribute to teaching and learning in this esteemed environment.
