What you will be doing as our Water Networks Engineer? Receiving planned project needs the Water Services team, you’ll develop of solutions with a focus on the whole life cost and business risk reduction of the installations you design whilst ensuring they are compliant with all required standards and regulations. The types of scheme you’ll deliver include, District Metered Area (DMA) controls – Meters, Pressure reducing valve systems (PRV’s) and water main replacements. This is a fast-paced and dynamic role but one where you can add value across the business and to your career aspirations. Responsibilities: Work within a team of engineers to provide solution designs (with the support of CAD Designers) which reduce operational costs and improve the service we provide to our customers. Work closely with our delivery teams to agree the method of construction, scheme start dates and durations and installation costs. Assess impacts of the scheme on local residents, highways and private lands owners to ensure that these stakeholders (as well as others) are aware and support the delivery of these essential works. Develop solutions in line with corporate governance processes, technical/safety standards, and legal requirements. Ensure all enabling; including the design, programme, cost and CDM requirements are completed ready for construction handover. Complete and comply with all operational site Health & Safety, Environmental, Quality requirements to ensure safe working practices. Key Experiences/Skills & qualifications: Experience of Water Supply and Network systems and their make up. Experience in capital delivery within the water sector with a key focus on directly employed staff delivering projects Management of the Construction Design Management Regulations Excellent knowledge and experience in customer management as well as our external stakeholders Be an excellent communicator at all levels to be able to interpret, problem solve and share data at all levels Commercial awareness working with multiple stakeholders Why Anglian Water?
