To support our activities at our Edinburgh site we are now seeking an ambitious and experienced manufacturing Senior Quality Engineer to join us. This role will report into our Quality Manager, and play a key role in helping to drive continuous improvement activities throughout our quality processes in a fast-paced and growing business unit. Job Responsibilities The Senior Quality Engineer will hold responsibility for: Driving continuous improvement through irreversible corrective actions to field issues, process capability and incoming inspection analysis. Implementation/maintenance of calibration and measurement system analysis systems. Adherence and improvement of Quality Management System through document control. Ability to conduct and drive adherence to certification through internal auditing. Analyze and initiate continuous improvement through quality metrics (reliability data, PPM, cost). Background & Skills To thrive in this role, you will be a seasoned quality engineer, demonstrating: Degree qualification in a relevant technical discipline i.e. manufacturing engineering or similar Experience of using a suite of quality tools including APQP, PPAP, MSA, calibration, Control Plans, PFMEA, and detailed manufacturing work instructions Demonstrable quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment required In-depth knowledge of quality systems, ideally IATF 16949:2016 Familiarity with using problem solving tools such as 8D’s, 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagrams or similar Proficient at Microsoft Excel and a statistical analysis program (Minitab).
