Psychologist (LD Forensic Setting)
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Psychologist to work with our male patients (Flexible working considered along with part-time). As part of your role, you will be responsible for providing high quality clinical assessments. You will support with the delivery of a full ward programme which will include facilitating groups and managing a case load of patient for individual therapy sessions. You will use a range of psychological therapies including dialectical behavioural therapy. You will be involved in Risk Assessments and Management. Delivering full programme for groups and individuals for therapy primarily using DBT/CBT, Risk Assessments and Management. There will be emphasis on providing comprehensive and specialist assessments, intervention packages to patients to help them develop resilience, make sense of past life events, improve attachment to relationships, make sense of emotional, behavioural and developmental difficulties that can result from experience of abuse, neglect, maltreatment and/or adversity. You will have the opportunity to work creatively and flexibly to develop and implement innovative practice and service developments as well as working from established evidence base. You will be supported by an Assistant Psychologist and you will be responsible for their clinical supervision.
