The Commissioning Supervisor will play a crucial role in a project team that values trust, integrity, and accountability.
This individual will engage with internal and external stakeholders, aligning with their team leader and coordinating site activities between various suppliers.
* Develop strong relationships with electrical installation and commissioning supervisors to foster trust.
* Maintain professional relationships with all stakeholders, including main contractor staff, workers, and internal stakeholders.
* Promote collaboration on site between contractors and internal stakeholders, ensuring efficient installation, test, and commissioning of electrical systems.
* Ensure high-quality workmanship during electrical installations.
* Participate in day-to-day planning and supervision, including toolbox talks, site coordination meetings, installation work, and test & commissioning activities.
* Evaluate the safety and compliance of commissioning processes within defined technical areas, adhering to industry standards and national legislation.
* C coordinate and document test and commissioning procedures according to established processes and accepted procedures.
* Supervise and support contractors in ensuring compliance with project HSE rules and local legislation.
Main Responsibilities:
1. SUPERVISE daily operations and quality control during Contractor's electrical installation of HV Primary and Secondary systems.
2. Witness SAT testing of HV Primary and Secondary systems.
3. Monitor installation and commissioning progress.
4. Conduct thorough reviews of completed test documentation and electrical schematic drawings.
5. Coordinate and participate in Contractors SIT activities, ensuring adherence to relevant test protocols and safety procedures.
6. Record quality observations and highlight potential non-conformities.
7. Supervise Contractor Pre-energisation activities.
8. Verify Contractor Post-energisation checks, on-load tests, and stability of protection systems.
Required Background:
* At least 10 years of hands-on experience with installing and commissioning up to 400kV Primary and associated Secondary electrical equipment on onshore substations.
* Experience with low-voltage systems: commissioning low-voltage electrical distribution systems, both AC and DC associated with Primary and Secondary systems.
* Degree or vocational training in electrical engineering is required.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
