We have an opportunity for a Quality Control Analyst to join our Aerospace team in Edinburgh. You will be providing quality support for defense products through the production process.
Responsibilities
1. Provide quality function support for new product implementation and build-to-print programs, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
2. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the integrated supply chain by proposing kaizens and conducting process audits.
3. Lead the management of non-conformances and corrective actions, facilitating thorough investigations and effective resolutions.
4. Support Foreign Object Debris (FOD) and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) programs to enhance product integrity and reliability.
5. Manage customer responses to quality complaints, including ISC quality escapes, customer repairs, and product returns.
6. Conduct inspections as part of the integrated supply chain process, including goods inwards, in process and final product inspections.
7. Assist in maintaining Supplier Quality profiles within the Honeywell supplier database, which may occasionally involve performing supplier audits.
8. Collaborate with the integrated supply chain to ensure Honeywell parts are procured according to specified quality requirements and inspection plans.
9. Support the internal audit process to ensure adherence to quality standards and continuous improvement.
10. Contribute to maintaining the Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Qualifications
* Relevant working experience in manufacturing, preferably within the defense or aerospace sectors, with a focus on quality assurance.
* Hands-on experience performing inspections to ensure product compliance and quality.
* Proficient in applying quality control techniques, including Six Sigma, 5S, and Ishikawa diagrams. Experience conducting quality audits is a plus.
* Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with teams and stakeholders.
* A solid understanding of quality management systems and their implementation is advantageous.
