Pipeline Protection Advisor – Saffron Walden
About the role
Reporting into the Pipeline Protection Supervisor, this role will be responsible for working within the pipeline right of way (RoW) department providing support and advice to third parties wishing to carry out work affecting Exolum pipeline apparatus in accordance with the Exolum Standard Requirements Document to ensure that safety and accessibility of the system is maintained. The Pipeline Protection Advisor will also assist Exolum Land Agent to resolve any Pipeline infringement issues via legal process, and deal with planning and pipeline diversion issues linked to third party requirements. This role is based at Saffron Walden, Monday – Friday 08.00-16.00.
Summary
About You
In order to join our team, you will need to possess an HNC/HND in Construction, mechanical or electrical discipline joined with significant industry experience and experience of working with operational and construction based Safe System of Work. The successful candidate will also have experience operating within Pipeline Safety Regulations and working knowledge of HSG 47 Compliance. Good communication skills are essential for the role due to the requirement to communicate clearly with landowners, other external stakeholders and internal pipeline O&M Team Members while developing proposals around pipeline protection.
In order to succeed in the role you will need to possess a degree in Construction, chemical, mechanical or electrical discipline or NVQ level 3 Petroleum Control Operations and experience in working within pipeline operations. It would also be beneficial to have attended Control of Major Accident Hazards Regulations (COMAH) Emergency Response awareness/training.
