Duties
The successful candidate will work with the Commanding Officer and Head of Establishment to undertake a wide range of security and IT management duties. This will include but is not limited to:
1. Obtain, assess, and disseminate as appropriate intelligence gathered from the Ministry of Defence, Civil Police and other internal and external organisations.
2. Implement security planning for the Garrison, to include Counter Terrorism, Anti-terrorist security measures, oversight of personnel security, particularly vetting and travel.
3. Ensure the physical security of barracks, armouries, and ammunition compounds.
4. Lead on document and equipment security.
5. Lead on visits and provide briefings to units and personnel on security.
6. Oversee Garrison vetting and pass issue and act as the sponsor for the National Vetting Service.
7. Conduct yearly assurance assessments and inspections.
8. Escalate security incidents when required.
9. Be the focal point of contact for all issues relating to Military Aid to the Civil Authority.
10. Act as the overarching IT Officer for the Garrison.
11. Assume the establishment security officer role for Waterloo Lines and units as required.
12. Control access to the relevant IT infrastructure.
13. Keep unit orders up to date.
Whilst this post is based in Warminster, in HQ LWC we practice hybrid working. For this post, there would be a requirement to be in the office 3 days a week. There may also be a need for UK and wider travel which may require overnight stays/time away from home.
