This is a Senior Management position within BCA Fleet Solutions reporting to Depot Manager. The Parts Manager will play a key role in the Management team. You will be required to accurately maintain stock levels and stock flow as required to meet all operational needs and accurately and effectively account for stock and maintain stock control. Your key responsibilities will be: Be responsible for the quality, storage and handling of parts in accordance with agreed processes and protocols. Ensure contractual obligations are met. Manage and direct the parts teams. Responsible for managing and limiting stock obsolescence. Fiscal responsibility for all stock holding. Responsible for liaison with customers at a senior and operational level. Promote and lead the health, safety and welfare of all personnel in the operation. Liaise with the divisional Parts Manager, procurement and finance team. Maintain open communication with the customers and suppliers. Create, initiate and monitor new processes and procedures in order to exceed customer expectations. Assist in the implementation of the company’s strategy as required. Lead the development and integration of ISO within all aspects of the operation. Ensure all parts storage on site and waste management is completed to the required quality standards (9000:1 and 14000:1). Daily management of the stores operation to ensure work is completed in a timely and efficient manner. Plan, manage and train parts team in their roles including shared cover when absent. Ensure accurate staff records are maintained for sickness, holidays, disciplines, welfare and attendance. Plan labour and liaise with subcontract labour providing companies to ensure the operation is manned effectively. Be responsible for department health and safety. Carry out other duties as requested by the Depot Manager. To be successful, you’ll bring some of the following experience with you: We are looking for a proven candidate who has experience in managing parts operations in the automotive industry. The successful candidate would have had sole responsibility for managing parts departments. You will possess strong employee management and customer service skills and cope well under pressure. You will be confident working to deadlines in a fast paced and pressurised environment and be able to make decisions. You must possess excellent IT skills with knowledge of MS Office and industry bespoke IT systems (although training will be available if successful). You will be self-motivated with strong communication and organisational skills, and the ability to motivate and lead your staff to achieve both externally and internal targets (week on week).
