Be part of a team that enables business growth As Category Buyer, you'll be responsible for: Processing high value, high impact orders using comprehensive knowledge of designated vendors with a thorough understanding of complex order processes Working directly with vendors and fostering collaborative relationships to ensure on time targets are met and fees are paid Instructing internal vendor specialists on operational processes at a high level to expedite urgent orders, fix customer processing errors, select product combinations and meet contractual responsibilities Pro-actively managing any risks to the business caused by non-compliance Monitoring and communicating vendor programme and price changes to the Category Manager Understanding legal terms and conditions on order forms and partner/reseller agreements to minimise risk and protect the business and end user Identifying opportunities for cost savings through currency variations and vendor programme rules with reference to levels and product selection We'd love you to have: Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure Exceptional communication skills with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels of seniority A self-starter attitude to pro-actively problem solve and advise The right attitude to set an example for junior members of the team showcasing responsible and professional actions Experience in a Procurement role and in-depth knowledge of specific categories Work in a way that works for you We recognise that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.
