Due to an increasing workload, RPS a Tetra Tech company is seeking to recruit Chartered Civil Engineers/ Senior Civil Engineers to join our Highways and Transport team in Belfast. The post will be based in our Belfast office but duties may require travelling throughout the UK and Ireland.
About the Team:
The Highways & Transportation team within RPS has been involved with some of the UK and Ireland’s most prestigious developments. These include: Titanic Quarter,185-acre Brownfield regeneration site in Belfast Harbour including Titanic Belfast, Loft Lines, Hamilton Dock Hotel, Connsbank Interchange etc; Dublin Port - Alexandra Basin Redevelopment (ABR), MP2 and 3FM; Holyhead Port redevelopment; Port of Cork, Ringaskiddy; Shannon Foynes Port; DfI TRAM Major Works - A1 Junctions Phases 1 and 2; DfI TRAM Northern Division Active Travel Schemes; London Luton Airport – Landside Civil Engineering works; North Ayrshire Council, Scotland (NAC) Active Travel Paths & Enhancement Measures (40km of new paths); significant masterplan and roadworks projects to facilitate the delivery of zoned residential lands e.g. Ballyclare Relief Road, Millmount Relief Road, Blaris masterplan, etc. Numerous Public Realm schemes, most recently Banbridge Town Centre. A wide range of other mixed-use developments such as Industrial, Port, Retail, Housing, Hotel, Tourism, Leisure, Office etc.

What you will be doing:
Project Management of civil engineering schemes, housing and building developments.
Management of workload and staff.
Liaising with other members of the consultancy design and PM team to deliver an effective service to our clients.
Potential travel between RPS offices in NI and UK for work package co-ordination.
Business development and preparation of marketing submissions.
Preparing and checking detailed technical and non-technical reports.
Who we are looking for:
Demonstrable experience in Civil Engineering Projects and experience in Highways and Drainage.
Transportation experience would be an advantage.
Experience working with a diverse range of UK and ROI clients.
Use of packages such as AutoCAD and Civils 3D would be an advantage.
Experience in the use of Project Management software (MSProject) would be an advantage.
Experience in Contract Administration / BoQs and NEC 3/4 would be an advantage.
Excellent Communications skills, with the ability to communicate with clients and other professionals.
Good interpersonal skills, both on an individual and team level.
Good work ethic and willingness to deliver as part of a team
A full driving licence.
Qualifications:
An MEng/BEng or equivalent degree in field of Civil Engineering or similar, or equivalent.
Chartered Membership or near Chartered (ICE, IEI, CILT or equivalent) would be an advantage.
