Job Title: ICT Operations Analyst

About the Role:
We are looking for an ICT Operations Analyst to monitor and manage our ICT infrastructure and networks, ensuring high levels of service availability with minimal outages. The role is pivotal in providing both proactive and reactive support to maintain seamless operations, ensuring our technology estate remains robust and responsive. Key Responsibilities:
* Service Monitoring & Management: Actively monitor the ICT infrastructure and network environment 24/7, responding promptly to alerts and events. Use specialist tools and automation to ensure high availability.
* Incident and Request Resolution: Provide timely responses to incidents and requests for system support, working within service level agreements (SLAs). Escalate issues from the Service Desk when necessary.
* Problem Management: Identify trends or recurring problems within the ICT estate and collaborate with the problem manager to resolve the root causes.
* Operational Maintenance: Perform regular operational maintenance tasks such as tape runs and file storage, ensuring all procedures and documentation are up to date.
* Third-Party Supplier Support: Assist third-party suppliers with access controls and provide approvals for access when needed.
* Capacity Management: Advise on capacity requirements and ensure adequate file storage availability.
* Automation of Alerts: Identify configuration item alerts that can be automated, enhancing the monitoring process for optimal performance.
* Change Management: Ensure compliance with the ITIL request for change (RFC) process, contributing to CAB assessments.
* Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to Service Desk Analysts, ensuring knowledge base articles are updated and the team’s skills are enhanced.
Skills & Experience:
* Proficiency with monitoring tools such as ServiceNow, SolarWinds, SCOM, and SCCM.
* Strong technical background in supporting on-premises and cloud-based services.
* In-depth knowledge of ITIL event & access management processes.
* Excellent teamwork and self-management abilities, with the capability to understand how ICT technology impacts the organization.
* Experience with Microsoft Server technologies, enterprise backup solutions, and virtualisation.
* A valid UK driving licence is essential, as the role may require travel to various sites across the region.
