We currently have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced and hands-on Multi Skilled Maintenance Site Supervisor for our NHS healthcare site in Liskeard, Cornwall.

Job Purpose
As Supervisor, you will be hands-on performing daily site maintenance duties as part of our responsive repairs and PPM (planned and preventative maintenance) programme which, depending on your trade background and experience, will involve a multi-skilled/trade element where you will get the chance to be involved with plumbing, electrical/mechanical, carpentry, ironmongery, and more.
In addition to day-to-day maintenance duties, the preferred candidate will act as the focal point for external contractors, organizing and arranging planned maintenance visits where necessary. You will also manage site files ensuring that statutory and technical compliance and safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures are met on site.
This position would suit an experienced Supervisor or if you are a multi-skilled maintenance engineer looking for career progression while remaining hands-on.
The position is based at Liskeard Community Hospital, which is a busy inpatient hospital facility. The role is primarily in place to ensure that we deliver a quality maintenance service to our client and will be based on a single site split across two wards - the Oak Ward and the Willow Ward.
Normal working hours are 8 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday, and you'll also participate in an on-call rota system (which offers the opportunity to increase your earnings and be involved in additional urgent repairs).

Experience Required
The preferred candidate will have previous experience as a Maintenance Operative. Ideally, your experience will have been gained supporting NHS clients; however, candidates with good commercial experience (i.e., hotels, schools, supermarkets, etc.) that can be translated to the NHS will also be considered.
You should be familiar and competent in managing and maintaining statutory compliance. You will have technical knowledge of M&E building services maintenance and of Health & Safety procedures in daily site operation.
